OUR TEAM
It’s transition season for the foxy team and we’ve got a switcharoo and a welcome to announce! Our fabulous heart-eyed events assistant, Marian (or May), has moved into a new role as Executive Director of Rise Outside (our fabulous non-profit guide service partner in the Gunks, which May is also a co-founder of). We’re so proud of them and excited for their new journey. BUT ALSO THANK GOODNESS they’ll be sticking around as our Volunteer Coordinator, so you’ll still see them at the fests running around with a clipboard and screaming with joy 😁
And now… please give a foxy welcome to our new Program Assistant - Erika Greenberg!!! Erika joined Flash Foxy as a volunteer in 2022 and we were instant pals. We’re so excited to have Erika as part of the team planning our festivals and education programs this year!
About Erika: Born in New York City, Erika now resides in New York on Long Island. She is a transracial adoptee and has a teenage daughter who enjoys ice skating and shopping trips. Erika began climbing in January 2022 and has since traveled across the United States and Mexico to scale rocks. She joined Flash Foxy as a volunteer in 2022 for the Fall Fest in New Hampshire and quickly fell in love with the community. She has since volunteered at several other Flash Foxy events, including the Climbing Festival in Bishop. Erika is also an active local leader in New York City for Brown Girls Climb. She aspires to become an AMGA-certified Single Pitch Instructor and earn her Wilderness First Responder Certification. She is passionate about increasing diversity in outdoor spaces. Erika has a background in the nonprofit and education sectors. She takes pride in her event management, marketing, and communications skills. She is even capable of tiling a bathroom! Erika enjoys being in nature, occasionally hiking, and attending live music events. She is always eager to learn new things.
